Ubame Oak from the Shields Oak Grove in the UC Davis Arboretum. There are nearly a dozen of these trees in the Arboretum, and all look very healthy. A small tree with small acorns that takes shearing. Promising as a hedge plant for low-irrigation California settings.
Ubame Oak from Tokyo Disneyland. This species takes shearing and topiary particularly well. Has been cultivated for millenia in Asia.
